Stories that keep Hindi close.

Beenu Bandar was created by co-authors Priyanka Upadhyay and Anjali Sanghvi with a shared passion for making Hindi learning joyful, engaging, and meaningful for children growing up around the world.

It all began when Anjali went looking for resources for her kids. As someone who understands Hindi but can't read it, the options were limited and boring - especially compared to all the English language books out there.

Then Anjali met Priyanka, who was teaching her kids Hindi. She listened to her weave magical tales that captivated her kids and an idea was born.

They started with a youtube channel - where you can find beautifully animated videos. Their idea is that these are the daily prattle of Hindi your kids can grow up listening to - allowing them to pick up language the way they would if they heard Hindi constantly. Feel free to just have the volume on - no video, for an even more passive language immersion!

From that world grew their Hindi Alphabet Series— a collection of beautifully illustrated children’s books where each Hindi letter comes alive through its own playful story.

The books combine Hindi language, storytelling, imagination, and Indian heritage to help children not only learn Hindi, but develop a genuine connection with the language and culture behind it.

Designed to be read to little kids and for young readers, Beenu Bandar and Friends is for every family who wants to share the love of Hindi with the little ones in their life!
